Snow

Fri Dec 18, 2009, 12:05 PM
And finally there was snow. Lots of snow. A real lot. Looks like Siberia. Feels like Siberia too. After several (more than a decade) years a white christmas again here in NL? I just had to go out to see it myself. And I think it worked out pretty well, didn't it?
After months of hard labour (do not lie, you're only a student ;) ) I finally have vacation (like normal people do :) ). I really have deserved it, although I love to work at the research group where I am involved nowadays (bonjour tous!). Unfortunately it will only take two more months and then it will be finished. Anyhow, there are lots of things I still have to do.

Just to make sure: merry christmas and a happy new year!
(and if you don't celebrate X-mas; happy chanouka or whatever you celebrate)

40D

At last, I have bought myself a Canon 40D. I made a bit of money last months, and I think I have spend it wisely :)
I am still working on my research project, which will be finished end of February. I wish I could spend longer, I am really having a great time at that place.

I hope you enjoy the photos I have made in the last two years (with the good old 400D).

Take care and see you around here.

Over 3000!

Ok, with a brief glance I saw I have only written about the number of pageviews. But, and a very justifiably but, I only could reach this number as a result of your views. So, an enormous 'thank you' to the all of you.

At this moment I am very busy with my master project (mass spectrometry). It is a bit hard to explain what this is really about (chemistry, ions and a couple of very expensive apparatuses (which is worth nearly a brand new Bentley with a spare Mercedes S to give you an idea, and with approx the same size as well)) Now I really do appreciate weekends. However, I do have a great time over there in the lab, but I am not really able to make any photo's at night during the week. Hence, I do appreciate my weekends...

For the better, it is very likely a newspaper is going to publish some photo's I have made during a rowing event. Unfortunately, the link does not work properly. If this photo is really published, I'll put it up here as well.
I am very much trilled and honoured with this. And it lookes like I have another assignment within a couple of days. Glory days are here to come :)

Enjoy the photo's I have made during the last 2 years, and there is still a lot to come.

Passed that magical number. Tnx for all your support!
I found myself the first pressing of 'the Piper at the gates of dawn' (1967, made and printed in Great Britain), and I am very pleased with it. A good copy is very hard to find, and truly, very rare of course. If you are a real Floyd fan and willing to mug somebody, please not my record collection. There will be enough people with all the records of the spice girls and other rubbish not entirely fit for human consumption.
